With six generations having lived in the Maribyrnong area, Rob Livesay knows the people, the place and their needs.
“I was raised in Essendon, and attended Aberfeldie Primary and Essendon State High Schools. I have three children, Mary, 21, Paul,19 and Mark,17 all of whom attended local State schools, and a grandson, Brandon, 2.”
Like many of his forebears, Rob has a commitment to service to others, on local, state, national and international issues. He is a volunteer for Airport West Football Club, and a volunteer and player for Keilor Park Cricket Club.
“We will work towards achieving full employment, including fair treatment of local businesses and workers in government tenders.
“We should be processing asylum seekers here, creating local employment. And we oppose classing detention centers as ‘foreign aid’.”
Other isues high on Rob’s agenda include better mental health and aged care services.
“We’ll push for walk-in, all hours, mental health services to assist both patients and our hard working police. Proper funding of public hospitals, with extra capacity in place for disasters. Proper funding and regulation of aged care. Younger disabled people should have their own facilities.
“We want to see an upgrading of primary and preventative health care, and Medicare funding for any recognized treatment or preventative care.”
“We’ll do everything we can to ensure a far go for all Australians, a better future, common sense and responsible government.” Visit Robert Livesay’s website.
