Craig, that's exactly the response the Government wants. The Community has for a long time sought residential facilities to establish a boarding school and/or other facilities for isolated dissafected youth Playing one group off against another- don't you realise thats what they're doing?. Care to come and show me the "5 times'? A classival case of Disraeli's "Lies damned lies and statistics" I don't know if you have been there and done a survey, but there is also the issue of a near elimination of open space. The gym is also a community facility THAT WILL NOT BE REPLACED. The Community also wants to run a pre school on the site The "5 times" is a result of activities the Government does not support. Had previous governments been less vigorous in their pursuit of Darwin's prophecy of the death of Koorie culture and race, enrolments would be a lot higher. and THE GAP would be narrowed.
I have personally used a number of school facilities, on Saturdays, for sport.

You also need to physically ask local residents, as I have done. This is not a case of NIMBY, but can you put a stream of buses and cars down two lane (if no one parks) roads?Do you realise that the gym is to be demolished to make way for a car park Do we take THAT away as well, and besides, what about expending the existing special school site is near a rail line and/or industrial estates with a lot of land room to expand but the government is unwilling to pay rent to Yooralla or pay money for land they can take.?

There are other examples of idle government or ex school land nearby.

Care to visit?

Do the Democrats realize that by supporting the campaign being run by the Treaty Republic Group thay are denying 150 disabled children a reasonable school ?

And that even if the Treaty Repubilc Campign is unsuccessful, the Koori students at Ballerrt Morroop College still have 5 times as much space per student as those at Glenory Speciliast School? Is this fair?

See the blog above for more information,

You need to be congratulated for being one of the few Australian political parties who have a sensible drug policy. This alone will get you massive support from rational Australian voters.

Well done.

I like a lot of what this party stands for (which is why I am a member) but I am disappointed that there isnt an official policy on the National Broadband Network. I know it has been discussed and there should be at least something on this site either in support or against it.

And it should also be outlined how the party intends on achieving its major greenhouse emissions targets without damaging our already fragile economy.

Excellent set of policies that have been put out there, and I hope to see some democrats back in the house and senate at the end of the month.

Good for you Paul. Mental health has been ignored by both big parties for decades. I for one want to see the Democrats back in the senate to keep the focus on issues like this.
